DOBRO STUFF
http://www.stacyphillips.com- Stacy Phillips. Greatest Dobro player of all time. my teacher. I learned much of what I know from Stacy, or at least the good parts. all of his books and cd's are "essential" as far as I'm concerned.
http://www.davidlindley.com David Lindley. Fountainhead........godhead.........the other half of what I play I have stolen from Mr. Lindley. Multi Instrumentalist and then some......all of his recordings are also "essential"............
http://www.resophonicoutfitters.com Paul Beard's Resophonic Outfitters has everything you need for strings, picks, bars etc.......and of course, they sell Dobro's as well. I use the Beard string sets on all my Dobros, and I've also had setup work done by Paul and recommend him highly. As of this writing (2015) I think his entry level Dobros are the best instruments you'll find for the money............no financial interest on my part, just respect.
http://www.well.com/~wellvis/steel.html Brad's pages of steel........in the early wild west days of the internet, this was the first and one of the only sources of information out there............lots of great info...........and hard work......by a player, for a player......
http://steelguitarforum.com - a lot of electric stuff, but also some acoustic and non pedal lap steel.........
http://www.scottysmusic.com Scotty's music is mostly dedicated to pedal steel, but there's a great deal of knowledge and experience there, not to be overlooked.....
