(I think this is a cd. as opposed to a tape. so, there's no 'side one' vs. 'side two' thing.......the songs just go right thru without flipping anything over......)

Nobody has lots of time these days.......especially if there is nobody around to listen to you, but that would never stop nobody from making some more music for you.......nobody knows that it took almost a year to final wrap this tape up, but it did.....we hope that you enjoy the results, because nobody really loves you......there's a lot of stuff on here......some country songs, like "you did not mean it" and "you could do a lot worse" which are really two different ways of saying the same thing.......there's a lot of lap steel all over this badboy....... some nice lap style blues on "living all over me" and "ceolacanth blues", played acoustically on the 1929 national tricone squareneck wonderama...... song #9 is a collage i made for george harrison. i hope he likes it. for some odd reason, there seem to be a lot of 'relationship' songs on this tape. "changing in a field" started out as one of those relationship songs, but then someone pointed out it had overtones of sept. 11th in it......we haven't had much musical saw on the last few NOBODY tapes, but that has been nicely rectified here......it sing it's sawsong on a lot of the tracks, including "wooden baby" and "no one mows their own lawn".....recently, the fine folks at club passim left me a message on my answering machine. they were doing a fundraising drive. well, you know how that goes.....the result is track #15, "amy leaves a message".......thanks to matt sims for beatz on "changing in a field".......digitally enhanced, dual engineered pleasure vocal on "e-fuck me baby" by rodney witherspoon, big dobro ups to stacy phillips. holla.

holla back.

i like listening to this tape a lot. and i'm really happy with the way the dobro sounds on"you did not mean it"......i feel like that's the way i play when my heart is open, and i finally got some of it on tape. as for the rest of it, a lot of it's straddling that fine line between being angry and being able to laugh at yourself....
thanks for letting me do this. i'm grateful to be here. please be nice to eachother.....would it kill you to smile? just once in a while.....? i used to think it would kill me too, or that somebody'd take my wallet....or something....but so far, no one has......so, until the next one comes out, please enjoy this one, it's on me.......
